Do you have a green thumb, or simply like working with nature? This year we harvested over 650 bundles of organic kale, collard greens, and lettuce for our food pantry. In 2016 we are hoping to expand our garden to provide even more fresh greens, herbs, and vegetables for the families at REAP, and we need your help! No gardening experience is necessary.

FREE Computer Classes
We are proud to announce that we will be offering FREE Computer Literacy classes at REAP this year. A huge thanks to Synetic Technologies for their generous donation of laptop computers and Graceway for purchasing the operating systems.
This six week course will cover computer basics, typing lessons, Microsoft Office, navigating the internet, and the online job-application process. Students will leave the class with a personal e-mail account, a physical and electronic copy of their resume. as well as the confidence to operate a computer in the ever-growing world of technology.
If you or someone you know is in need of both a job and basic computer skills, call (816) 356-0054 or email email@example.com for more information. Registration will begin this August, and classes will start in September.
Sign-ups are now closed for the Spring session. Stay tuned for the next class!
After a busy month of food drives, our pantry went from empty shelves to overflowing with non-perishables! A huge thank you to all of our generous donors, volunteers, and community sponsors for helping us keep our neighbors fed and healthy. Together we collected over 40,000 items of food in just over one month!

Our bi-annual Boy Scout food drive is coming up soon! This year we are excited to have both the Raytown Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts working together to collect 20,000 items of food in one day for the empty shelves in our pantry.
Help us meet this goal by simply putting out a sack of non-perishable food on your porch Saturday, April 23rd! Starting at 9am that Saturday, the Scouts will be driving through Raytown neighborhoods collecting sacks and delivering them to REAP. Make sure they are placed where they can be seen from the street.
Our Raytown Rotary Club will have barrels at the Raytown Hy-Vee, Apple Market, and Wal-Mart from 9am-3pm collecting food from all the shoppers that morning. Make the 23rd your grocery day, and drop a can or two in the barrels on your way out!
A huge thank you to the Raytown Rotary Club, the Raytown Boy Scouts, and the Raytown Girl Scouts for dedicating so much time and energy in helping out our community.
