How We Help

We offer a variety of resources to help families in the Raytown area during times of need. To be eligible for assistance the entire household must be within the current federal financial poverty guidelines, reside in the Raytown C-2 School District, and provide the required documentation.
Please call the REAP office to schedule an appointment for assistance.

List of Required Documents:

  • Social Security cards for everyone in the household
  • Picture ID for household members over 18
  • Verification of Income (check stubs, bank statement, etc.)
  • Verification of SSI, Disability, Food Stamps, Section 8, TANF, etc. (if applicable)
  • Lease or letter from the landlord
  • All current bills and shut off notices

Seasonal Assistance

“Birds & Baskets” THANKSGIVING sign-up is from Nov. 11 – 13, 2024 (or until the first 200 spots are filled). Please email [email protected] starting Nov. 11, and include your Name, Address, and Phone Number.

Christmas Store sign-ups begin Nov. 18 – 19, 2024 (for the first 100 families). Please email [email protected] with the following information:

MUST BE A RAYTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT RESIDENT to apply.

Addresses will be verified before accepting requests.

Please be prepared to use the Amazon Wishlist process. There is a $100 limit per child (be mindful when adding items to your wish list). REMEMBER, THE WISHLIST DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL RECEIVE EVERY ITEM ON THE LIST. The wish list gives us an idea of what your child may like.

Food

Free Grocery Fridays is available every Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (except for the dates listed below) in the parking lot of the REAP office. 160 grocery bags are available to Raytown residents on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Please line up on 75th St. (do not block driveways) and follow the drive-thru process.

If you are a pet owner, please ask about our dog and cat food selection to keep your pets fed and healthy.

Rent

If you are behind on rent, we are here to help. Please email [email protected] a clear copy of your current eviction notice and the minimum payment due to prevent eviction. We apologize, but REAP cannot assist with mortgages, hotel rooms, deposits, or moving fees.

Gas

We will assist with gas bills during the fall and winter months. The gas bill must be in disconnect status.

Please email [email protected] a clear copy of your current disconnect notice. The bill must be in the name of the individual applying for assistance.

Gas bill assistance will begin October 1, 2024.

Electricity

We assist with electricity bills that are in disconnect status.

Please email [email protected] a clear copy of your current disconnect notice. The bill must be in the name of the individual applying for assistance.

Water

We assist with water bills that are in disconnection status only.
