How We Help
We offer a variety of resources to help families in the Raytown area during times of need. To be eligible for assistance the entire household must be within the current federal financial poverty guidelines, reside in the Raytown C-2 School District, and provide the required documentation.
Please call the REAP office to schedule an appointment for assistance.
List of Required Documents:
- Social Security cards for everyone in the household
- Picture ID for household members over 18
- Verification of Income (check stubs, bank statement, etc.)
- Verification of SSI, Disability, Food Stamps, Section 8, TANF, etc. (if applicable)
- Lease or letter from the landlord
- All current bills and shut off notices

Seasonal Assistance
Thanksgiving Sign ups will be Nov. 7th thru Nov. 11th (or until 275 spots are filled). Please email [email protected] starting Nov. 7th with your Name, Address, & Telephone Number.
Christmas Store Sign ups will be Nov. 14th thru Nov. 18th.Please email [email protected] with the following information:

We will utilize the Amazon Wishlist process as we did last year, so please be prepared. There will be a $100 limit for each child so be mindful when adding items to your wishlist. REMEMBER, THE WISHLIST DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL RECEIVE EVERY ITEM ON THE LIST. The wishlist gives us an idea of what your child would like.
Classes
WILL RESUME IN Feb. 2023 at REAP, we offer both assistance and education.
Looking for a job? We also partner with CSL Work Express program to help with resume creation, job interview tips, and provide computer time to fill out online job applications. Click here or call the REAP office for more information!
Food
#FreeGroceryFriday every Friday (unless otherwise noted below) from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. in the parking lot of our office. (160 bags available, first come, first served)

If you are a pet owner, please ask about our selection of dog and cat food to keep your pets fed and healthy.
Rent
If you are behind on rent, we are here to help. Please email [email protected] with a copy/clear picture of your current eviction notice, and the minimum payment due to prevent eviction. Sorry but we cannot assist with mortgages, hotel rooms, deposits, or moving fees.
Water
We assist with water bills that are in disconnection status only
Please email [email protected] with a copy/clear picture of your current disconnect notice. Please note the bill must be in the name of the individual applying for assistance.
Gas
We assist with gas bills during fall and winter months starting Oct. 1, 2022. The gas bill has to be in disconnect status.

Starting October 1st, 2020 we will assist with gas bills.
Electricity
We assist with electricity bills that are in disconnect status.
